New Windsor Primary School
New Windsor Primary School wanted to enhance their outdoor spaces and create a more inviting environment for students. The school’s bike track needed a fresh look to fill in the surrounding space and make it more enjoyable for all.
We planted a mix of Lomandras and Red Flaxes, laid fresh Waikato topsoil, and finished it off with a clean layer of mulch. The result is a vibrant, low-maintenance landscape that now frames the bike track beautifully.
To improve functionality, the school also needed safe access to their bike storage container. Our team built a custom Kwila deck with access ramps, making entry smooth and secure for students and staff. Surrounding planting was added to tie in with the rest of the landscaping.
Several worn-out lawn areas were also in need of remediation. We carried out a full site scrape to remove tired soil, spread and compacted premium lawn soil, and completed the job with hydroseeding — ensuring a lush, even lawn will grow in its place.
Finally, an area cluttered with excess concrete needed a visual refresh. We carefully removed the unwanted concrete alongside the building and transformed it into a new garden, planting Lomandras, Hebes, and Coprosmas to soften the space and create a more welcoming look.
